Lisa Shannon

Senior Vice President, Programming & Development

Lisa Shannon serves as Senior Vice President, Programming & Development, at Shed Media, a division of Warner Bros. Unscripted Television with a successful roster of Emmy-winning series. In her role, she has helped grow and expand the company’s slate of shows, creating and developing new content for broadcast and cable networks and streaming services. Shannon simultaneously oversees several current series, many of which she has developed during her two decades with the company.

Shannon runs Shed Media’s longest-running series, “The Real Housewives of New York City” for Bravo, which she revamped in its 14th season to feature an all-new, multi-cultural cast of dynamic, self-made women. Season 15 has recently launched and features not one, but two LBGTQ+ women – a first for the Housewives universe and just one example of how the new cast is breaking ground and representing a diverse range of stories, backgrounds and experiences. Shannon also produces two additional hit franchises under the Housewives umbrella, including Peacock’s “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” and Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” which is now in its fifth season.

Shannon has two new series that will be launching soon. Also set in Salt Lake City and exploring the Mormon culture in a unique and different way is Bravo’s new occuseries, “Sold on SLC.” The show features a wildly successful, female-owned brokerage and follows several of the hottest real estate agents who work there. Additionally, Shannon developed, sold and produced a new dating show for a major streamer, which has finished production and will be announced shortly.

In addition to her vast slate of ensemble docuseries, Shannon has produced a variety of shows that are celebrity-focused. She oversees Paris Hilton’s return to reality television on Peacock’s “Paris in Love,” with the first season leading up to Paris’s wedding and season two following her journey as a new mother.  She also produced “The Bradshaw Bunch” for E!, which premiered as the network’s #1 unscripted series and featured NFL legend Terry Bradshaw and family. Shannon also developed and produced E!’s “Legally Mathis” which followed Judge Mathis and his dynamic family as they navigated topics including homophobia. The series was nominated for a GLAAD award.

Shannon has a passion for telling unique stories of the underrepresented. She developed and sold “Mexican Dynasties,” a series TV Guide called “Bravo’s best new show in years” and was recognized by critics for its diverse, multi-generational cast and never-before-told stories like that of the first openly gay man to have children via surrogate in Mexico. She also developed and sold “Huda Boss” to Facebook Watch, showcasing a female-run, billion-dollar business empire out of the Middle East, highlighting what it means to be a successful businesswoman in a male-dominated arena and patriarchal culture.

During her tenure, additional series she has overseen include “Below Deck Adventure” which she developed and sold to Bravo, “Basketball Wives” and “Hollywood Exes” for VH1, “Eric and Jessie” for E! and “Best Room Wins” a home renovation competition show, also for Bravo.

Joining the studio in 2004, Shannon has executive produced hundreds of hours of content across multiple cable networks and digital platforms, including Peacock, Bravo, E!, TLC, OWN, VH1 and Facebook Watch. Prior to her executive role, she worked as both a field and post showrunner on various series.  Her career in television began in 1998 as an advertising copywriter outside of Detroit, with creative campaigns earning multiple industry awards.
